The HIV Resource HUB

Get The Support You Deserve at THE HUB

The HUB is a collaboration between the AIDS Foundation Chicago and Center on Halsted to provide up-to-date services in LGBTQ+ healthcare for those living with or vulnerable to HIV or those looking for LGBTQ+ related health care.

Navigating health and supportive service systems can be complicated and turn into a chore. It doesn’t need to be. The HUB is a one-stop-shop where you can come as you are, be heard, find the support and resources you need.

You know what you are looking for and we can help find a way to get you that support!

Our services

Locate HIV/STI testing

If you’re looking to get tested for HIV or other STIs, the HUB can help. We’ll also help you get connected to HIV-related health care, if you need it.

Get PreP Support

Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) can be one of the tools in your belt to help prevent acquiring HIV. We can connect you to PrEP counseling and get you connected to a health provider who can prescribe PrEP.

Get connected to a health care provider

Whether you’re looking for a Primary Care Provider, or a dentist, or just need help getting insured, we got this. We can help you with health care referrals. We can help simplify and cut through the red tape.

Connect to a listening ear

Honestly, sometimes we just need someone to talk to. Our team is here to listen and help you out. We got you, boo.

Help you with navigating housing needs

If you are living with HIV and currently looking for support with your housing search, at-risk of experiencing homelessness, or currently experiencing homelessness, the HUB can connect you to supportive services which can make navigating this situation easier and help you find housing solutions.

Connect to HIV case management

Sometimes we need someone who can help us with more long-term navigation of many different systems. If you are living with HIV, we can connect you to Case Management intake for medical and non-medical support. You don’t have to do this alone.

Submit referrals for supportive services

We can connect you to a network of providers and support services from legal services, to immigration support, to tenant’s right’s support. Our network of experienced providers is expansive. You name it and we can probably find something to help.

APPly for Emergency Financial Assistance

The HUB has two Emergency Financial Assistance funds available: one for individuals living with HIV/AIDS and another for people currently taking PrEP. We can help relieve some financial burdens with one-time payments for things like rent support and paying your utility bills.
